September 25, 2009 Results from the Autum Schooling Show 2009 are now available.

August 31, 2009 Meadowbrook is proud to announce a Clinical Camp with instructor Stacey Hastings in May of 2010. Stacey is an FEI Rider with many credentials to her name. She is an “L” judge graduate with distinction and a USDF Certified Instructor through 4th level. Her many other achievements can be found on her website at www.staceyhastingsdressage.com

Itinerary: Saturday will begin with a group lesson, then on to theory class which may consist of Stacey giving a demonstration on what the judges are looking for through the levels and the use of the training tree throughout progression of the levels. She may pinpoint some of the things she had you do in your lessons to further clarify them for you. Then, lunch will be served and individual lessons will begin. After lessons we will go to the lake and boat and swim and then finish with dinner.

Sunday will begin with another group lesson, or if we see fit, small group lessons. Theory will consist of watching the videos of the individual lesson points that Stacey thinks will give each and everyone of us some great insight. Then we will have lunch, some relaxation time for rider and horse and then on to individual lessons. This will be followed by dinner and a question and answer session.

Monday morning will consist of semi-private lessons and then I will return Stacey to the airport while you all pack and depart.

My guess is that this will cost around $550 per person. This will include all meals and we will bunk here at my place. Remember that you are getting 3 grouped lessons and two privates without all the fuss of traveling so far.

We will need 8 definite signers to make expenses, so think of what this can do for the benefit of you and your horse as you prepare for show season 2010. Thanks and please get back to me asap, as Stacey is so busy that I must reserve a date asap. The date that Stacey is available for the camp is May 22-24, 2010. Let me know by e-mail mbec@centurytel.net if you would like a spot reserved and I will shoot you a flyer. You will have to send in the flyer with your money by the closing date (which will be soon this fall), as I cannot undertake this expensive endeavor without your commitment.

April 5, 2008: The Spring schooling show was a big success with rides all day long. It was nice to meet some of our newest members. A big thanks to the Taura Farms Crew- Claudia, Jessica, Cheryl, Dave and Mark and to the Alms family for their hard work in hosting the show. Laura was a super hostess and Thomas did a great job, as always, making the hamburgers.

Ernst Photography came with one of the exhibitors and here is a link to the photos. I hope they can come to the next show.

February 23, 2008: The Missouri Dressage Association hosted a "meet and greet" social event at the Clarion Hotel in Springfield. Attendees enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new members. Thanks to the participants who donated door prizes. All attendees received a coffee mug with the cool "MDA" logo.

The next meeting will be March 11 at 6:00 pm. Please watch your e-mail for details.

October 27, 2007: the Association held it's first schooling show as a fundraiser to kick off the organization. It was a beautiful day and we had a full day of rides. The riders and volunteers got into the Halloween spirit!
