The Missouri Dressage Association was formed in 2007 by a group of active dressage trainers, riders and supporters. The charter members share a passion for the principles of classical training and the desire to offer an opportunity to dressage enthusiasts by offering activities with meetings tied into a scheduled hand-on dressage related activity.

The support for this organization is overwhelming. There have been generous donations and we are pleased to have some sponsors.

There will be a year-end social event where riders and participants will be recognized for their achievements. Some activities planned for 2008 include:

v     Several Schooling shows with super awards

v     Mentoring for New members

v     Year End Awards

v     Clinics

Sportsmanship is a major component of our organization and a special trophy will be presented to recognize those who meet and exceed the Association’s criteria.

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Missouri Dressage Association is to foster excellence between rider and horse, supporting the concept of humane and ethical treatment of horses.
Dressage is the historical essence of all riding and exemplifies the smooth, precise and graceful partnership between horse and rider. It is this culture of professional and disciplined riding that the Missouri Dressage Association wishes to personify.

The Missouri Dressage Association seeks members who can represent the Association through positive leadership. The Missouri Dressage Associations leadership is designed to keep active and knowledgeable members at the helm.
New members, both adult and Junior Young riders are essential to the Missouri Dressage Association’s mission and will be recruited, mentored and supported in their quest for greater understanding of the discipline of Dressage.
